All PLACID measurement microphones are externally polarised (200 V) condenser capsules designed for use with compatible preamplifiers. Each capsule is individually tested and supplied with a factory calibration document. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration is available for every model.

Preamplifier Range

All PLACID preamplifiers use a transformerless, direct-coupled design with a low-noise JFET input stage. Nominal output impedance is below 50 Ω, compatible with standard IEPE signal conditioning inputs at cable lengths up to 100 m. Each preamplifier is supplied with calibration documentation confirming the gain and frequency response at standard conditions.
