The PLACID system configurator guides you through the process of specifying a complete acoustic or vibration measurement system from application requirements to component selection. Rather than selecting components individually and then verifying compatibility, the configurator starts with your measurement application and works forward to a matched, calibrated system configuration.
Every system built through the configurator can be supplied with a unified calibration documentation package covering all measurement channels. This unified package — a single document set rather than separate certificates for each component — simplifies the process of demonstrating traceability in quality management audits and measurement uncertainty analyses.
Use the online configurator to get a system specification and request a quotation, or contact our technical team directly to discuss your application requirements. We review all system configurations before dispatch to verify compatibility and completeness.
All complete systems assembled by PLACID are validated before dispatch. Validation includes a functional check of every measurement channel at a reference signal level, confirmation that the serial numbers on the instruments match those on the calibration certificates, and a review of the documentation package for completeness. For systems including multiple matched microphones, we verify channel-to-channel sensitivity matching against the declared tolerance.
For systems requiring commissioning at the customer site — such as hemisphere arrays, impedance tube installations, or multi-channel monitoring stations — PLACID engineers are available for on-site commissioning. This covers system setup, software configuration, initial measurements to verify performance against specification, and operator training. Contact us to discuss commissioning requirements and scheduling.
