Private Label Measurement Microphones | OEM and Custom Branding Options

PLACID Instruments supplies measurement microphones and preamplifiers on an OEM and private label basis to instrument manufacturers, system integrators, and distributors who require branded acoustic measurement components. The PLACID manufacturing and calibration infrastructure supports both small-quantity custom orders and larger ongoing supply programmes.

Private label instruments carry the customer's brand on the body, packaging, and calibration documentation. The calibration certificate states the customer's name as the instrument owner and can carry the customer's logo. The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation scope covers the calibration regardless of the branding — the measurement traceability and uncertainty are not affected by the private label arrangement.

OEM and Private Label Options

Minimum Orders and Lead Times

Contact PLACID to discuss your OEM or private label requirement. Please describe the application, the quantity range you are considering, the required calibration documentation format, and any specific performance requirements beyond our standard product specifications.

Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

Private label and OEM supply agreements include non-disclosure provisions covering customer product specifications and commercial terms. PLACID does not publish customer names in connection with private label products or confirm the identity of OEM customers. For manufacturers requiring additional IP protection — for example, for novel integration designs or proprietary housing configurations — supplementary confidentiality agreements are available.

PLACID retains the acoustic design and manufacturing intellectual property for all capsule designs. Customers own the branding, packaging design, and any software or interface IP they contribute. Where a customer commissions a custom acoustic design variant, IP ownership terms are agreed separately in the project contract.
